“I would recommend it to any one specializing in pediatric cardiology, cardiology, academic cardiologists, teaching fellows and cardiothoracic surgeons or anyone with a particular interest in cardiology as it is makes a fascinating informative read. The electrophysiology section would be particularly useful for human physiology undergraduates and postgraduates as electrophysiology concepts are well-explained and the formulae are laid-out and explained. Its strengths are the logical progression from embryology, orientating the reader through anatomy, electrophysiology, testing and diagnosis, pathology and management. Another strength is how comprehensive it is so it has a wide readership. The clear headings make it easy for individuals to identify the relevant parts and the clear references provide an additional exhaustive source of information for the researcher and academic. Few junior trainees will purchase the volumes at this 2013 BMA Medical Book and Patient Information Awards high price but those dedicated to the specialty will be more inclined and wise to make the purchase.” — BMA Medical Book Award reviewer, 2013 BMA Medical Book Awards
